Our story is a little different now than it was just a couple years ago. It's interesting to look back and see how far our little family has come, and look forward to how much more we have left to experience.
I'm Casie, and this is the story of our journey through parenting and special needs.
Originally from South Carolina and true Gamecock roots, love and life has taken me all over the South, marrying a beautiful man from South Georgia.
The forest industry has given us many adventures, taking us to Mississippi and Florida, and finally dropping us off, in what seems to be our own little slice of paradise, in a spot that feels like we're living in our very own tree house near Athens, Ga.
We've been given the gift of 4 precious souls to raise and nurture - and learning that it isn't always easy to approach difficulties with grace - but we're learning. Day by day. I'm learning to treasure each moment, as I see how quickly little ones grow up.
A big part of who we are involves special needs inclusion. In 2013, after the birth of our second child, our lives shifted gears and we have ever since been learning to approach life intentionally, creating space and an environment in which all of our children can thrive.
Come with me on our journey. We love. We garden. We play outside as much as possible. We don't let a set of wheels hold us back - we let them set us free.
